Linked directly to your bank account, your bank card allows you to pay for purchases with or without contact. Your payment and withdrawal limits may vary depending on your profile and daily needs.
Please note
Contactless payment
This convenient service lets you pay up to 6,000 F CPF without entering your PIN for everyday small purchases. However, other limits also apply. For example, you cannot exceed 18,000 F CPF in cumulative contactless payments, nor can you make more than five consecutive contactless transactions. Once these limits are reached, you will need to enter your PIN to reset them. Your financial institution may also apply slightly lower limits than those set by regulations. Contact your bank for more information.

If you lose your card or it is stolen, act quickly by placing an immediate block on it to prevent any fraudulent use. Your bank will guide you through the necessary steps and issue a new card as soon as possible.
Here are some essential rules to ensure secure card payments :
Everyday protection tips
– Your card is personal : never lend it to anyone, not even close friends or family.
– Make security a habit by regularly checking : that your card is still in your possession.
– Codes are confidential :never share your PIN or the security code on the back of your card with anyone.
- Beware of online scams : your bank will never ask for your codes by email or phone. If you receive a suspicious message, go directly to your bank’s official website instead of clicking on any links.
- Memorise your codes , and never write them down.
- Protégez-vous des regards au moment de saisir votre code. Au besoin, utilisez votre main libre pour masquer le clavier lors de vos paiements ou retraits.
- Shield your code when entering it : use your free hand to cover the keypad when making payments or withdrawals.
- Monitor your transactions : check your account regularly to quickly spot any unusual activity.
Precautions to take depending on the situation
In stores :
- Keep your card in sight throughout the entire transaction.
- Check the amount displayed before confirming the payment : mistakes can happen quickly.
At ATMs
- Inspect the machine before using it : a damaged or altered terminal may indicate a fraud attempt.
- Stay focused while withdrawing cash : don’t let anyone distract you during the transaction.
- If your card is swallowed Immediately block your card if you are unable to retrieve it from the bank branch directly.
For online purchases :
- Protect your banking details : do not save them on your computer or in customer accounts on e-commerce websites. Avoid sending them by email, and always make sure the website is secure (look for ‘HTTPS://’ in the address bar).
- Choose trusted websites : double-check that you are on the official merchant site and take the time to read the terms and conditions before making a purchase.
- Secure your computer and smartphone : keep your software up to date, install a reliable antivirus, and activate a firewall.
When travelling abroad :
- Before your trip : inform your bank of your travel plans and ask about the protection services available during your stay.
- In your luggage : keep international emergency contact numbers handy in case you need to block your card.
